Shankly was only kidding. Mercifully, it’s rarely a matter of life and death. It’s certainly not more important than that. Apparently Pope John Paul II said: “amongst all unimportant subjects, football is by far the most important.” With that, we agree and hence the title of this blog. Here we will explore and celebrate its importance while trying not to take it all too seriously.
